Stanley 4 1/2 USA type 9

Stanley 4 1/2 wide smoothing plane, made in USA. I believe this is a type 9, made between 1902 and 1907. It could possibly be a type 10, but I think type 10 introduced the frog adjustment screw, which this plane does not have.

Plane is in original, unrestored condition. Nice patina and some surface rust, but nothing major. The rear handle was repaired at some point and has a small chip at the very top.

As far as I can tell, all the parts are original. The handles are rosewood and the front knob is the older, low type. Blade is marked STANLEY NEW BRITAIN CONN USA. Unbranded lever cap (typical for pre-1910 Stanley planes) and original frog with a small adjustment wheel. The body has 2 patent dates behind the frog and is in good shape, no chips or cracks.
