Scrub Plane by Stanley
The scrub plane is used to prepare rough sawn wood. It has a specially profiled blade that acts like a very shallow gouge and produces an attractive textured surface on the wood as Paul Sellers shows in the video below.

I have modified the blade and the mouth of this Stanley Handyman plane and its working as a scrub plane very well. Also great for initial work on salvage wood that may have paint, dirt and grit on its surface.
