This is a high-quality example of the Record No. 24 Quick Release Fitter’s Vice, refurbished to a professional standard. It’s an ABSOLUTE UNIT. This cannot be understated. It's huge.

Original Record Blue paint. Refinished in imported Paragon Paint BS381C 110 Roundel Blue Enamel - the official factory shade used by Record, from the original manufacturer. This is not a generic repaint, but a faithful restoration using the exact right stuff.

The quick-release mechanism works flawlessly, and all sliding and clamping action is smooth. It locks exactly when it should and moves easily the rest of the time. You have to feel this thing to believe how easily the massive jaw slides.

Professional cosmetic repair: A small piece has been painstakingly machined and repaired using silicon bronze TIG brazing. It's one of the curvy cosmetic ears on the far end of the moving jaw. No impact on function - and repaired with a perfect fit and finish. Dings and marks of character have been left intact. No metal was removed from this vice. More mass more a$$ as they say.
