Record 04 Stay-Set plane, rosewood
Record 04 smoothing hand plane with Stay-Set cap iron, made in England. Dates back to 1930s. The plane is fitted with rosewood handles and original, full-length tungsten steel blade.
The Stay-Set cap iron allows exposing the blade for honing without detaching the cap iron from the blade, so it can be placed back in exactly the same position.
Good condition. There are some intentional-looking scratches on the left side, likely markings of a previous owner.
