A try plane, 26" (650mm) long, used to true/ straighten the edges of long boards for glueing up into table or bench tops. Dated 1926, its in very good condition, the beechwood body is dead straight and free of cracks. The chrome / carbon steel blade is sharpened and set ready for work. A very effective plane at a fraction of the cost of a Stanley no 8 or even the cheapest machine jointer.
