Goosewing Side axe
A very rare side axe in excellent condition. The socketed blade is flat on one side and bevelled on the other. The handle is off set for right handed use.
The blade is very sharp and ready for use. I have fitted a new hickory handle.
Its difficult to date an axe like this as the design was unchanged for centuries. My best guess is 1700 -1850.
