Early Stanley 78 rebate plane
Very early Stanley 78 rebate/filister plane. The body and cutting iron are consistent with the earliest models of this plane, dating back to late 19th century USA production. Very nice design on the handle. The blade appears to have seen little use despite the age - it's long and in great condition.
The plane comes complete with depth stop and fence. I don't know if they are original to the plane or newer ones, as this is the only 78 I've seen this old.
