"Chops" Vice kit.
My version of a Victorian bench vice I use every day at my restoration bench. Also used by wood carvers , musical instrument makers, model makers etc. The 3" (75mm) wide jaws are covered with thick leather to improve grip while not damaging finished surfaces. The throat of the vice is 7" (175mm) deep and it can open to about 8" (200mm). Its very powerful and easy to make. I supply all the metal and leather parts plus assembly instructions. The wooden parts can be sourced from any builders supplier and will take about 4 hours to assemble.
