A Vintage Stanley No 5 Jack Plane

This is a lovely Stanley No 5 Jack Plane made in England and in beautiful condition. The Tote and knob are original and are in great nic. The body, frog, lever cap and adjusters are all really clean and in perfect working condition. The body is clean and the sole is perfectly flat. The iron has been properly sharpened ready for work.

A jack plane is a general-purpose woodworking bench plane, used for dressing timber down to size in preparation for truing and/or edge jointing. It is usually the first plane used on rough pieces.

This particular Stanley No 5 was manufactured in around the mid 1940's around WWII era.
