22" Jointer Plane by Goldenberg

A long jointer plane in excellent condition made of Cormier ( Service tree) wood. The blade is sharpened and set ready to use. At 22 inches (560 mm) long, it is specifically designed for flattening long boards and jointing straight edges before gluing. An effective plane at a fraction of the cost of a Stanley no 8 or even the cheapest machine jointer.
Service tree wood [Sorbus torminalis]) is one of the hardest, densest, and most valuable native hardwoods in Europe. Because it is very slow-growing and rare, the wood is highly scarce, Premium plane makers like Ulmia attach a thin Cormier sole to their beechwood planes. This plane is entirely Cormier wood.
