Widely considered one of the absolute best tape machine emulations ever built, the El Capistan uses a massively powerful DSP chip to deliver the organic warmth, crinkle, and natural mechanical imperfections of legendary vintage tape delays.

Sonic Controls: Features 3 distinct tape machine types (Fixed, Multi, Single) each with 3 modes.

Secondary features let you dial in tape age, bias, tape crinkle, wow/flutter, and an incredibly lush, vintage-style built-in spring reverb.

Bonus Mode: Includes a fully functional Sound-on-Sound tape-style looper mode with instant splice and bulk erase.

V1 vs V2 note: This is the highly dependable Version 1 layout, meaning secondary features (like the hidden spring reverb and low-end contour) are adjusted by holding down both switches simultaneously while turning the front dials.

It takes a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply (standard pedal power). The tone is absolute magic, especially if you pair it with high-headroom setups or ambient reverbs.
