Dr. Z Stang Ray Amp ( Brad Paisley's Signature Model)

The Stang Ray is a rare find these days. It’s a take on classic Vox AC30 tones from top US boutique amp builders - Mike "Dr. Z" Zaite and Ken Fischer from Trainwreck. It was developed with lots of input from Brad Paisley ( who still uses two Stangray Ray Combos-last time I saw him ) Using a Classic quartet of EL84's biased close to true Class A at 30 watts, the Stang Ray tips its hat to classic British tones, but like all Dr.Z amps, has its own unique voice. The preamp uses an EF-86, and it has a 12AX7 phase inverter. Tone shaping is accomplished with Volume, Tone, and Cut controls, giving you the ability to dial up a warm tone, but with sweet 3k range brilliance for beautiful upper treble and nice low-midrange control. The output transformer was designed by Ken Fischer (Trainwreck), who also worked with Dr.Z on the Airbrake. Been serviced recently, but to be honest it was really only used in Studio and a few live Gigs . Probably the best live amp I ever had, loved it-but not Gigging much any more and thus the Sale. Custom built Flight case €75 extra, but we might negotiate. If you, like me love your Valves, it genuinely doesn’t get any better,
