The babies are now 5 weeks old and are just starting to get their back legs. They're growing really well and are currently approaching 3cm in length.
As rehoming time is getting closer, I'd love to get an idea of how many people are still interested in giving one of these little ones a new home. I plan to rehome them once they reach around 4cm, which should be in approximately 3 weeks' time, depending on growth rates.
If you're still interested, please let me know so I can start getting an idea of numbers. Also, if you haven't already started cycling your tank, now would be a great time to do so. A properly cycled tank is essential and will ensure everything is ready and stable by the time your new axolotl comes home.

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m glad to hear you’re setting up a tank for an axolotl.

About the cycling issue, if ammonia isn’t converting to nitrites yet, it usually means the bacteria haven’t fully established. Adding a small pinch of fish food or a drop of pure ammonia each day can help feed the cycle. Keep the temperature around 18–20 °C and make sure there’s good aeration. Once nitrites appear, you’ll know the cycle has started properly.

Regarding the leucistic axolotls, I’m still waiting to see which colours I’ll have available. They’re only just starting to grow, so I’ll know more once they’re a bit bigger. I can keep you updated and let you know as soon as I can confirm if any leucistics are in the group.
