Zoolek Aquatest CO2

Aquatest CO2 is used for quick and accurate measurement of carbon dioxide concentration in water. The measurement method is based on titration, i.e. adding a drop-by-drop reagent to the test water sample until a color change is achieved in accordance with the attached color standard. The measurement result is obtained in mg / l.

Why measure carbon dioxide concentration?

Carbon dioxide is a gas that dissolves well in water. Measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide in water is particularly important in aquariums with plants that use it in the process of photosynthesis. Too low carbon dioxide content in water can adversely affect the development of plants, while too high can be primarily detrimental to fish. The optimal concentration of carbon dioxide dissolved in water is in the range from 15 to 30 mg / l.
