Seachem Matrix 2L

Matrix is a highly porous filter medium that ensures efficient removal of nitrogenous waste products. The diameter of a single grain is about 10mm, and the total surface area in one liter is over 700 m2, which corresponds to 170 liters of plastic bioballs. Thanks to its structure, Matrix enables the settlement of microorganisms both in the shallower and deeper part of the pores. Additionally, they are of optimal size for nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria. This makes it possible to get rid of nitrates, nitrites and ammonia simultaneously. Matrix is chemically inert and does not break down. Since most bacteria live inside the pores, the granules can be washed if necessary. Matrix is suitable for use with all types of filters.

Directions for use:
It is recommended to use 500 ml of the product for every 200 liters of water in the aquarium. The Matrix can be placed in any type of filter, but is especially suitable for canister filters. The grains are large enough that you do not need to put them in a special bag.
