Seachem Alkaline Buffer 600 g - Buffer for Raising pH and KH

Seachem Alkaline Buffer is a phosphate-free buffer for freshwater aquariums, designed to raise pH and alkalinity (KH). It is particularly suitable for planted aquariums and for situations where phosphate-based buffers may contribute to algae growth or water cloudiness.

Alkaline Buffer helps stabilise pH within a range of 7.2 to 8.5. It can be used on its own or together with Seachem Acid Buffer when more precise pH adjustment is required.

Dosage
To raise pH, use:
6 g, approximately 1 teaspoon, per 80 litres of water

The product can be dosed once daily until the desired pH is reached.

One dose increases alkalinity by approximately:
1 meq/L, equivalent to 2.8 dKH

When using Seachem Alkaline Buffer together with Acid Buffer, adjust the ratio according to the target pH. The ratios provided by Seachem are based on RO or RO/DI water and may need to be adjusted when using tap water.
