QualDrop Carbo Purifi 500ml - Activated Carbon for Freshwater & Marine Aquariums
High-Quality Activated Carbon with Extremely Low Phosphate Content
QualDrop Carbo Purifi is a high-quality activated carbon designed for chemical filtration in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Its highly porous structure effectively adsorbs dissolved organic compounds, chemical contaminants, discolouration-causing substances, medication residues and compounds responsible for unpleasant odours, significantly improving water clarity and quality.
Carbo Purifi features an extremely low phosphate (PO4) content, helping to minimise the introduction of additional phosphates into aquarium water and reduce the risk of unwanted algae growth.
The product is safe for fish, corals and other aquatic organisms. It does not release harmful substances or negatively affect water parameters.
Key Benefits
* Suitable for Freshwater & Marine Aquariums: Effective chemical filtration for both types of aquarium.
* Extremely Low Phosphate Content: Helps minimise additional phosphate introduction and reduce the risk of unwanted algae growth.
* Effective Chemical Filtration: Adsorbs dissolved organic compounds, chemical contaminants and medication residues.
* Improved Water Clarity: Removes discolouration-causing substances and helps eliminate unpleasant odours.
* Highly Porous Structure: Provides excellent adsorption capacity for effective water purification.
* Safe for Aquatic Life: Suitable for fish, corals and other ornamental aquatic organisms.
Recommended Dosage
The recommended amount of Carbo Purifi depends on the aquarium’s biological load and the level of water contamination.
Dosage per 100 litres of aquarium water:
* Standard Dosage: 50-100 ml (approximately 25-50 g).
* Heavily Contaminated Water: 150-200 ml (approximately 75-100 g).
* Stable, Well-Maintained Aquariums: 25-50 ml (approximately 12.5-25 g).
Adjust the dosage according to the specific conditions of your aquarium.
Recommended Replacement Interval: Every 4-6 weeks.
Directions for Use
1. Measure the required amount of activated carbon using the measuring scoop included in the packaging.
2. Before use, rinse the carbon thoroughly with RO or RO/DI water to remove loose carbon dust.
3. Place the rinsed carbon into a suitable fine-mesh filter media bag.
4. Position the bag in a canister filter or sump where there is good water flow. Alternatively, use a dedicated filter media reactor.
5. Replace the carbon approximately every 4-6 weeks to maintain effective filtration. The actual replacement interval may vary depending on water flow, the amount of carbon used and the level of contamination.
