@Guest 123 yes the filter is fully submersible, they eat a lot and mine tend to try and act hungry to get more. I feel them fancy goldfish pellets twice a day, in the morning and night and only enough so that finish eating in 2 mins (roughly 8 pellets each feed they’re the size of a grain of rice) “tetra goldfish gold japan” is the specific one I use it makes their colours lovely and bright.

Orandas can grow really big too so you might need to look at a bigger tank, I had mine in the 20L and changed them to a 35L as they got bigger.

Also when changing your fish water, buy a siphon on amazon, and use that to hoover the waste from the bottom of the tank and only change 20% of the water once a week, as the water has good bacteria in it they need to survive.

@Guest 123 the filter with the current tank I mean would be too weak, something like the nicrew would be more powerful and hopefully keep the water parameters stable for longer!

@Guest 123 a 12L would be very hard to keep the water parameters stable due to the waste from orandas, and the smaller volume of water. The filter would definitely be too weak for the volume of waste, my orandas do nothing but eat!

@Guest 123 how big is the tank and is it a goldfish?

They produce a pretty high bioload but I have two orandas (larger goldfish) and they are pretty big but I would still get a week out of the filter before having to rinse with clean water. The bigger the tank the easier it is to maintain honestly. So to answer, a week easily

@Guest 123 nicrew mini filter magic jet, I only bought it last month. Nothing wrong with it just upgraded to a 35L tank that has an internal filter so it wasn’t needed anymore, super quiet and has functionality of air pump so fish get oxygen I personally loved it. Anything else ask away :)
