The Aqua Nova XCF-1800 is a tried-and-tested bucket filter that combines robust construction with advanced water purification technology. Thanks to its large filtration capacity spread across 5 baskets, the filter allows for optimal distribution of the media, resulting in crystal-clear water in tanks with a capacity of up to 500 litres.

At the heart of the unit is an integrated 9W UV lamp, which acts as a professional steriliser. UVC radiation effectively breaks down the DNA of bacteria and algae spores, solving the problem of ‘green water’ and protozoan blooms. Importantly, the steriliser can operate in three modes (continuous, 4 hours or 8 hours), allowing you to flexibly adjust the exposure time to the current biological needs of your aquarium.

The set includes a complete range of filter media, including a sponge for mechanical filtration and ceramic media for biological filtration. The porous structure of the ceramic media provides an ideal habitat for beneficial nitrifying bacteria, which are responsible for removing toxic nitrogen compounds. This system ensures not only visual clarity but, above all, biological stability, which is crucial for the health of fish and plants.

Two independent valves at the water inlet and outlet ensure ease of daily operation. Thanks to these, maintenance of the unit, cleaning of the baskets or replacing the cartridges can be carried out without leaks and without the need to dismantle the entire hose system. The use of a ceramic impeller shaft results in exceptionally quiet operation, which does not disturb the peace of household members, and allows the filter to be used safely in demanding marine aquariums.

The unit is characterised by low power consumption (just 22W for the pump alone), making it a cost-effective solution whilst maintaining very high performance.
