Hi. I don't know if it truly throws out much heat, as it was never correctly fitted to our fireplace. As I said in my comment below, we have a small canopy above the fire and we could never install it properly to test out how good it was. You may need to check with other customer reviews for your answer. We took it off our fireplace after trying to use it a handful of times and gave up on it.

Hi. Sorry for the delay with the reply, I was away for the bank holiday.

The dimensions are 500mm wide and 600mm high. As far as I know, most fireplaces are a standard size, but it didn't suit the design of our fireplace as there was a canopy thing at the top of ours and it wouldn't properly fit underneath it. We simply installed a stove instead after giving up.
