Vintage Figural Fireside Companion Set - Metal Man Log Holder + Poker Tongs
Highly collectible vintage novelty figural fireside companion set in the form of a workman, crafted from heavy gauge steel. The figure incorporates a coal scuttle / log holder as the body and holds the arm out to hang the original poker, tongs, shovel and brush - complete set. Great industrial / folk art piece with wonderful aged patina and character, standing approx 3ft tall, very solid and heavy. A quirky designer hearth statement piece as seen in country house hotels and gastropubs.
These are very collectible. Empty log holder figures go for €100+ alone, complete sets go much higher.
