Rolleicord II (Type 4)

Rolleicord II (Type 4) Rolleicord II (Type 4) Film Cameras

TBH I didn't doctor the images but it looks a bit better in the photos than in real life.

The leatherette on the right hand side (looking down) is coming away and requires refixing.

The higher shutter speeds work ok down to about 1/4 sec but the 1/2 and 1 sec sound sluggish, and I can't get it into Bulb mode.
My Rolleicord V is the same but still takes great pictures.

The focusing screen is dim but so was my V, then I fitted a new screen (about €28) and it was a huge improvement.

So to summarize...
It will still take pictures however we're talking about a camera that's 70 years old so it could do with a bit of TLC.
So with a CLA and a new focusing screen and it will probably last another 70 years?
The Taking lens looks clear however the Viewing lens appears to have a small amount of fungus which will have no affect image quality
The aperture blades a clear.

I've taken these factors into account when pricing.

Available for collection/inspection most days but can usually post on Friday only as I live a long distance from the PO.

Thanks for looking.

@mectronic: Hi, I changed it on the V about a year ago and it made a big difference, which is why I'd recommend the buyer to do similar, thanks.
