Star Challenge: Exploding Suns (Sci-Fi Gamebook)

Rare retro 1980s ‘choose your own adventure’ (CYOA) style sci-fi book (in the vein of Endless Quest), published by Knight Books (who also published the Way of the Tiger series). Generally good condition save for a tear on the back cover (per photos).

The setting of the series is the year 2525, when man is able to travel across the stars eventually forming an alliance with aliens known as the "Network of Worlds". You are an operative in the space station "Nebula", and under the command of Captain Polaris, you'll be tasked with solving troubles across the Milky Way.

In Exploding Suns, a mysterious menace is causing the disappearance of stars in Space Sector X-7793A, and the reader and 2-Tor the robot must stop it. The book features a score system that determines how well you've fared and that is divided into ranks, with Space Ace the best. Mortality is high and comes in often funny ways, in which case instead of "Mission Accomplished" you'll have have a "ZAP!".
