Hardcover. First hardcover edition of novelisations of two pre-war horror films: published a year earlier in the USA as two separate paperback originals by ''Carl Dreadstone''. Ramsey Campbell provides an introduction to each, but (it must be said) has consistently denied being the author behind the obvious pseudonym.

Very uncommon UK hardcover. Page edges browned (due to cheap paper) else a fine copy in original dustjacket. First hardcover edition (& 1st printing).
