'Concrete Island', JG Ballard
Paperback 1985 edition of Ballard's 1970s novel about a man who gets trapped on a giant concrete island between three perpetually busy motorways... 'A chilling novel that pays twisted homage to Defoe's `Robinson Crusoe'.', the publicity says.
This edition is pretty rare these days and has a wonderful cover. Overall, it's in well-used condition, with significant yellowing, some small biro marks on the inside covers and one on the back cover, and creases and dents. But aside from those it's an attractive copy of this sought-after (and very weird) novel.
