This is the hardest thing I have had to do in a long time but regrettably I am unable to keep her due to my deteriorating health. I have spent many years and an obscene amount of money creating my absolute pride and joy. 

I have sold this car twice in the past and regretted it so much I have bought her back… so here goes…..


Ruby started life as a standard S70 CD Auto 2.5 20V and has had the full R treatment with original parts. She has also had a complete engine swap for a Reconditioned B5234T4 (850R) So now goes as well as she looks. 



I have a huge Leather binder full of receipts  for the work carried out and she has recently undergone a new service and New MOT with no advisories (March 2027). She comes with 3 keys, 2 new remote fobs and Volvo wallet and books.


The 17” Comet alloys are shod with 4 x Avon tyres and were refurbished recently so are unmarked: 

The headlights and indicators have been replaced for the facelift Crystals and an egg crate grille was added for better looks. All bulbs were also changed to LED and appear much brighter and crisper.


Her bodywork is in super condition with only minor imperfections which are to be expected of a car of almost 30 years old. She has R badges both back and front as well as the expected R bumpers and spoilers. 


The interior is remarkable, the full oatmeal leather is undamaged and in perfect working order. 3 pre set memory functions and fully electric and heated it is a comfy place to be. The tilt and slide electric sunroof works faultlessly and has never leaked. Top of the range SC901 Stereo with full Dolby pro logic allows amazing sounds and the electric Ariel keeps it all retro…

She also has the Blue R dials and chrome rings along with R door cards and the very rare original R floor mats. Air conditioning is ice cold and was re gassed ready for summer. 


She drives amazingly well and sounds just as good. Always turns heads and gets lots of attention. Only used as my show pony now and as such doesn’t get the use she deserves. On top of this my health has deteriorated significantly recently and I find myself in a position whereby I have to sell a few toys. This and my campervan being the main items.
