This is a pair of Thule roof bars, which clamp on to the roof of a car without the recessed fixing points.

They have never been used. I was given them by someone who bought them for his Mercedes C180, as I had a similar car at that time. I never used them either.

They are lockable. That means you can only access the mechanism for tightening or releasing the clamps by using the key which is included

They are marked with 853-2341-12 >PE<. I don't know what that means.

HI. If they are the same as mine, there is a number stamped on the lock, just where the key goes in. In my case it is N178
I bought my keys on eBay uk.

I have set of these on my car but i have no key as previous owner had lose them . I am trying to locate the code on them for key could u tell me where they are as i cannot see on the roof rails . Thanks

Hi Thanks for your interest.

So,end to end, including the plastic end caps, they measure 52 inches. (132cm)

I also have another set which were modified to fit on a BMW E92. In that case the bars clamp to the recessed fixing point in the roof.
They measure just under 42 inches (106.5 cm)
