6mm/8mm is the size of the bolts that go into the fix points on the car.

Yes I understand. Some of them are 6mm some are 8mm, hence why it would be useful to know the model to know which it is.

@lomup101 there is a bolt in the base of the roof bars that screws into the fixing point on the roof of the car.

@lomup101 they fit on to the fixing points on the car (not for a car with rails). It can be screwed into the fixing point on the car roof. They are for a bmw 3 series (F30).
