MK1 Golf GTi 1.8 8v engine and 020 gearbox
1.8 8v engine and 020 gearbox from MK1 Golf GTi
These have been dry stored for the last 10 years. I've never heard it run.
I have not tried to turn it over as the crank bolt has been undone. The timing belt is off it and the cam gear can be rotated slightly so I would guess it's not seized.
I can easily select gears on the box.
The throttle body is there but it's seized up. I do not have anything else for this beyond what you see in the photos nor do I know anything else about it.
