Yamaha AES 620 (Royal Blue). High-End Specs. Yamaha AES 620 (Royal Blue). High-End Specs. Electric Guitars

UPDATE! This guitar was for sale for a cheaper price since I hadn’t restrung and cleaned it. Apparently, people always believe when they see a price they can offer 30% less. What day didn’t realise that the price was actually a very good price for an incredible guitar. I am now in the process of spending a second leaving it in good shape and I will upload the new pictures when that’s done. New price of the guitar is 350€.

This is a really good Yamaha AES 620 (Korea, 2003) featuring a Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup and Grover tuners. All Yamaha instruments are AMAZING, ask anyone in the industry.

It has been a very loved and played guitar but we are selling it now because we have a baby. While the functionality is spotless, the guitar is dusty and has some marks of time. The price reflects that it needs a good cleaning and fresh strings, but it remains an incredible, high-quality instrument.

I have played and toured for 15 years and I can verify to the playing that this guitar is a pro guitar because of the pickups and the set up I would say it’s worth around €600 but because I’ve had it under the bed for a year and I don’t have time to restring and clean well I sell it very cheaply (we’re with a baby moving out).

EVERYBODY WELCOME TO COME AND TEST IT AND TRY IT ANY TIME!

@D5 Jimbo: hello Jimbo! Your long message has made me think twice about the guitar, Since you mentioned small points in which the guitar is actually strong. Tuners worked perfectly and pickups work perfectly. I have now realised that the only reason I am under pricing this Guitar is that I haven’t put the strings and people become extremely finicky about detail details. So I have decided I will put the strings on and I will raise the price to what I believe is fair. It will then go for 350 euros. I was hoping for a quick sale since we are very busy these days but I have realised I am spending too much time given explanations about the Guitar that is actually very good. Sorry about that!

Thanks for coming back to me.

Love Yammies (as you say, they are AMAZING!) but there's considerable cost involved for me in this. I've had issues getting Yammy controls previously 'cause they seem to use a different spindle count than others (at least on the SF range) so Gibson type knobs don't fit.

PUPs seem to need some work and looks like G machine head is out of sync with rest - did this take a knock?

Looks cool but I'd need to travel from Dublin and that's a minimum of 6 hours round trip so I'd prefer it is restrung for testing.

Can you confirm "no over all is the guitar working in general besides all that, electronics? No structural damage or warped neck"?

Would you take 200 if everything else is ok?

Cheers

Jimbo

We’re back in the house all week from Monday if you were interested,.

@kevinc1981: Hey Kevin! I go one by one: Yes, 3 knobs (volume, volume, tone) are missing, but that gives you a good chance of finding cool ones and putting them! Same with switcher, missing too. Not hard to find and buy for 10 euros probably less! I see what you mean about strings. That thing is like a unique saddling system. It’s in good condition, it doesnt rasp or cut strings, and also the bridge is in good shape. One thing I can do is make a video. I should also have a pack of new strings in the house but we have a baby and are quite busy these days to change them. But I could make a video with it for more detail. Find me on instagram and send us a message so I can share phone (@zurito.music)

Thanks!

Just to follow on from those questions, I'm not trying to highlight any negative aspects of your guitar or anything like that just to clarify, just trying to gauge what jobs would need doing if I was to buy it, thanks 👍

Hi, interested in the guitar just a few questions if you don't mind, are the tone and volume knobs missing? And is the 3 way selector switch snapped? Last question sorry 😬, where the strings come through the face of the guitar before they go over the saddle of the guitar does that take tension aswell? If so are they worn or snapping strings? The things that look like fingers for want of a better description! And over all is the guitar working in general besides all that, electronics? No structural damage or warped neck? Thanks 🙏
