Warmoth / XGP Hardtail Strat

Warmoth / XGP Hardtail Strat Warmoth / XGP Hardtail Strat Electric Guitars

I built this as a backup for gigs in 2016 and it has served me well. Originally, I had a bridge humbucker only, but converted it to a proper Strat a few years ago. My gigging days are over so I'm moving on some surplus instruments.

Specs are as follows:

XGP Professional Strat Body, Surf Green Hardtail, copper foil shielded, bought from Guitarfetish - They say "XGP- eXcellence in Guitar Parts. This is our best. The best woods, The best woodworking, the best finish. Don't settle for second best- These bodies are lightweight (Average weight is 4 lbs.), resonant and cut to fit vintage-spec parts! We rout each body to exact 1963 Stratocaster body specs... using MY OWN 1963 Strat as the template. Each body is hand-sanded, hand painted, hand polished to a perfect finish."

Warmoth USA Stratocaster maple neck. Right handed with reverse headstock, not a lefty flipped over, side dots are on the correct side, Indian rosewood fretboard, 1-11/16" Graphtech nut, 22 x 6105 frets, 10-16" Compound radius, Cream face dots, White side dots, 25-1/2" scale. Finished with oil and wax like EBMM. Neck fit is perfect, action is low, see pics.

Q Pickups - Stratocaster A3/4 Custom Strat Pickups set Hot Vintage HandWound - bass side rods are Alnico 3, treble side are Alnico 4 for a slightly warmer high end and a tighter low end. Lovely pickups, handmade in Croatia. I used CTS pots and a Sprague Orange Drop .047 mfd 200 volt Capacitor.

Controls are Vol, N+M Tone, Bridge Tone with a 5 way switch.

Hardware: Gotoh tuners and Gotoh hardtail Strat bridge

I just put on a fresh set of Elixir 10-46 and it's in great shape, plays and sounds as good as it looks and pics are indicative of condition. Based in South Tipperary. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Lowballers, please don't bother.

If anyone wants both Warmoth/XGP strats, I'll sell them both with a hefty Thomann double-gig bag for a grand, see pics. Other strat is here https://www.adverts.ie/electric-guitars/warmoth-xgp-hardtail-strat/35877997
