Vintage Ibanez pre lawsuit beauty
Very rare and rather beautiful early 1970s Ibanez pre lawsuit ES Gibson copy.
As you can see this is a real head turner of a guitar, plays beautifully and sounds great.
The attention to detail is very good with the Gibson split diamond and open book headstock and like all true lawsuits the guitar does not have a serial number.
This beauty is fitted with two great sounding original Japanese humbuckers and seems to be a copy of a little known ‘Gibson Crest’ guitar.
The Crest was only made for a couple of years and the Gibson versions are rare so the Ibanez copies are rarer still. The Ibanez model was apparently only made between 1971 and 1974.
The guitar is virtually spotless and it is almost impossible to believe it is over 50 years old. It’s a beautifully built instrument showcasing the fantastic Japanese craftsmanship as they sought to emulate the classic American guitar brands. Ibanez of course was the leading Japanese guitar brand at the time.
It will be virtually impossible to find another one so this is a great chance to own a gorgeous vintage guitar for a very decent price.
