Vintage Fender Telecaster (USA 1970) Vintage Fender Telecaster (USA 1970) Electric Guitars
€4,750

Beautiful vintage Fender Telecaster, with over five decades of honest ageing and natural play wear.

The neck heel bears a date stamp of 3 DEC 70 B, and the guitar carries serial number 297209 on the neck plate.

Features include:

- Genuine 1970 Fender Telecaster
- Neck heel date stamp: 3 DEC 70 B
- Serial number: 297209
- Maple neck
- Four bolt neck plate
- Vintage hard case included
- Vintage leather strap included

Additional details:

- The original finish has naturally yellowed over its 55 year life. There is no visible wood grain, and opinions may differ on whether the colour is Blonde or Olympic White. Extensive photographs have been included to allow prospective buyers to make their own assessment.

-An older six saddle Telecaster bridge assembly is fitted in place of the original three saddle bridge. Six saddle Telecaster bridges became available during the 1970s for fitting to earlier Telecasters (see photographs).

- An older square jack plate is fitted in place of the original recessed Telecaster jack cup.

The guitar displays the honest wear and patina expected from a vintage instrument of this age and has aged beautifully over the years. It has remained cased and unused since circa 1996.

@LukeKelly3 Hi Luke, thanks for pointing that out, I really appreciate it. I’ve always known it as Blonde and have seen many similar guitars described as Blonde, although I can certainly appreciate your point regarding Olympic White. Thanks again for the helpful information.

If its solid its not blonde. More than likely its olympic white as blonde teles from that year you could see the wood grain. Olympic white was a custom colour order from that year and are not super common. Just wanted to point that out. Glws

@LukeKelly3: Hi Luke, it’s a solid Blonde finish, the wood grain isn’t visible through it.

Is this a solid colour or can you see the wood grain?

@alex_kelly: Thanks for the nice comment. You're correct that the bridge and six saddle assembly were changed at some point earlier in the guitar's life. The other visible components appear consistent with the age of the guitar, and it has remained cased and unused since circa 1996. I've added a few additional photographs to the advert which may help, and I'd be more than happy to provide any other specific photos you'd like to see.

Hi, nice guitar. Do you know which bits are original? I can see from the pics that the bridge and saddles have been changed. Is the rest original? Thanks
