Vintage 1977 Fender Telecaster

Super cool, all original, and rather wonderful vintage 1977 Fender Telecaster.

This gorgeous guitar sounds fantastic and plays great with a lovely rosewood fretboard which is a rarer option on a tele from this era.

The lovely classic blonde finish has just about the right amount of natural wear to give this the kind of looks that the Fender custom shop can only dream of.

It is from the era when black pickguards – not seen since the early 1950s - were re- introduced bringing back that classic tele look of blonde finish with black guard.

'Normal' Teles from the 1970s are not as common as many think. Fender made loads and loads more Strats at the time and the company was pushing the humbucking Tele Custom introduced in 1972 to replace the standard Tele which wasn’t selling well. Given Fender’ lack of interest in standard Teles throughout the 1970s the Telecaster was not tinkered with or altered the way Strats were so this is effectively built to a very similar spec to the 1960s models.

This of course also has a four bolt neck so no ‘three bolt issues’, perceived or otherwise. It’s a nice comfortable weight for a 1970s tele too at around 8 and a half pounds. Most 70s teles were very heavy but thankfully this is not one of them.

Comes with its original Fender case which is also in very good condition. Fenders from this era can come in a few different cases depending on when they were actually bought new, as there were a couple of case design changes over a short period of time.

As well as a fantastic instrument, this is also a great investment which will only increase over time.

I’ve thought long and hard about selling this but have a few other Teles so this beauty is up for grabs.

Cheapest all original with case one you will find anywhere too.

An all original vintage tele for less than the price of a custom shop.

The first to try this will definitely buy it.

Thanks
