Telecaster - amber quilt
As New.
Selling this stunning Telecaster, carefully assembled using quality components by the great Gerry Fahy (see his other works on Adverts).
By design, it has a strong visual and technical resemblance to the (MIJ) Japanese-made Fender reissue models.
The body was purchased fully finished from HZ Guitars (UK) and features elegant double binding and a striking amber-dyed quilted maple finish.
The neck was also sourced from HZ Guitars. It is a 21-fret, C-profile neck with a 9.5" radius and a particularly practical truss rod adjustment wheel at the heel, allowing neck relief to be adjusted without loosening the strings, a feature that would be welcome on any guitar.
The neck is fitted with Gotoh Japan Kluson-style locking tuners and a bone nut.
Maintaining the Japanese-made theme, the bridge is a genuine Fender MIJ component dating from c. 1989. The pickups are also genuine MIJ units, taken from a Telecaster dating from approximately 2002. The electronics are equally high-quality using CTS potentiometers and a Fender three-way selector switch.
Strap locks fitted, and I'll include a leather guitar strap with matching female strap locks.
The build is superb, producing really low action and a guitar that plays effortlessly and sounds fantastic.
Lest it needs to be emphasised, while this is a Fender MIJ look and play alike, it is NOT a Fender-manufactured instrument.
It’s been stored since I bought it a few years ago, as a keeper for myself, and prior to me downsizing to an apartment. The only reason I’m selling is that I’ve no space anymore (now living in apartment) and almost playing all acoustic.
You’re very welcome to try it out. No swaps please, nor low ball offers.
