Music Man Sabre II (by Leo Fender - 1979)
Not many of these about. An exceptionally clean Sabre II from 1979. Designed and made by Leo Fender before he fell out with his partners at Music Man and went off to found G&L in 1980. Being a 'II' it has the traditional Fender 7.5 radius neck and it has an ultra low action. There are a couple of dings on the top and lower bouts but the front and back are clean with no bucklerash. Likewise there is no wear to the nitro finish on the neck. (Fenders of this period were all thick polyester finishes). Being one of the first active guitars on the market, all of the electronics are working as intended (the black phase switch and the white treble boost switch). Comes with a period correct (but not an original Music Man) case and has that rarest of additions - the original user manual. Priced to sell - I have it up for a LOT less than anything on Reverb - so no lowball offers please. Not interested in trades thanks.
