Guys to clear it up for you a les paul can look like a plaintop when front on and the flame pops when looked at it from a side angle. I would suggest picture 4 is the closest to what the guitar actually looks most like in person

@aidanhoey one piece tops are super rare

your 7th pic is a one piece top, no camera will do that for you.

Sorry - I didn't mean to throw a grenade in on your ad. Beautiful guitar and even more impressive with different looks in light. My first guitar was a poor epiphone attempt at this finish. Can understand how reluctantly you must be in letting her go

Yeah, looks like it could be different cameras.. especially being able to see those knots throughout pics. I have the same 50s HCS and looks somewhat plain most of the time but under angles/ lighting you can definitely see the flame.. not going to pretend like I know loads either way but mine can look more flame in some settings so its possible 🤷

@Liam0790 I have had the guitar from new purchased in 2021. So they would pics taken over time it’s a subtle flame going through the guitar in my opinion it looks more a plain top at first glance but the flame can be seen at certain angles. I can assure everyone it is the same guitar. As I said in the ad it’s a very reluctant sale and the guitar could be taken down if my circumstances change.

It looks like an R8 in pictures 1 & 7 & a standard flame top les paul in all the others! I'm a fan of plain top Les Pauls.

I think i can see some knots in the wood, consistent across most pics under the bridge and tailpiece. It does look like 2 different guitars in fairness though .. could be 2 different cameras taking pics over time?

@Daithi_22 both the same guitar the flame only really shows through in certain light/angles

Looks like 2 different guitars, a plain top & a flame top. Are they both for sale?

@mehaul it’s the same guitar .. just depends on the way the light is hitting it the flame is subtle enough

Tiger stripes or no? Looks like 2 different guitars
