Fernandes JG-45 CAR
Selling my Fernandes JG-45 (I believe its a JG-45 anyways, Ive only found one other listing of the same title that has the same specs as this one) I had imported from Japan.
Hoo boy where to begin, when I got it, it had obviously been played a bit, original jack plate was cracked and glued together horrendously, strange "A" sticker on the pickguard, bit of play wear, and bloody filthy.
Went in and cleaned and fixed it up, threw in some upgrades since I was there (I have all of the original parts if you want them however, although you WILL see why I replaced them lol). The sticker was poor quality and lifting so I removed it, which left a faint imprint or "tanmark" on the guitar under the strings, which I kinda dig as its a part of its story. Whoever owned it last clearly loved it cuz they wore down the finish on the neck. And its clear to see why, the thing sings and is very comfy to hold and play, decently light and sits well on the body.
Selling purely cuz I admittedly bought it on a whim, and while its a brilliant guitar, I already have two guitars that also do what it does, and I work on a "one in one out" rule for my g.a.s . Includes the gigbag it came with.
List of mods for those curious:
-Broken plastic jack plate swapped for a metal one
-Crappy Japanese pot metal tuners replaced with Aria branded vintage style tuners
-Bridge swapped for spare one I had with a thicker block
-Pots swapped for 500k push-pulls, wired in/out of phase and series/parallel for some extra flavours
-General setup (for my tastes anyways)
Trades welcomed, looking into Baritones rn so if you have one hmu, otherwise hit me with your best offer, and please feel free to ama!
