Fender Stratocaster HH 1996 VERY early Big Apple Strat w/Original Case

This is an incredibly rare example of a 'BigApple' Strat. It has been played with love for many years and always taken care of. It is in superb condition for it's age, 30 this year. The guitar feels wonderful in the hand and the maple neck/fretboard is fast and accessible.

The pickups were especially tuned by Seymour Duncan for this model and are; Semour Duncan '59 (neck) and Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus (bridge). 5-position switch allows for split-coil and humbucking positions and offer huge versatility.

The guitar was built between 1996 (50th anniversary badge and special anniversary colour shown in pics) and 1997 (first year of the 'Big Apple' Strat), hence it is a very late 1996 AND very early 1997 example. It is 100% original.

Rare indeed as it carries the characteristics of both years. I would not be surprised if someone more knowledgable than myself was to tell me it's a prototype guitar for the 1997 model year as this configuration is so rare.

Guitar comes with original case, which is also in very good condition.
