Fender Sixty Six

Very cool and increasingly hard-to-find Fender Alternate Reality Sixty-Six.

This is one of Fender’s more unusual modern designs, combining a downsized Jazz Bass-style body with a Stratocaster-style neck, headstock and six-string guitar configuration. It looks like a Jazz Bass that somehow escaped into the guitar department, which is exactly why I bought it.

The Sixty-Six was part of Fender’s limited Alternate Reality series and was only produced for a relatively short period. It attracted quite a bit of attention when released and was featured/reviewed by a number of well-known guitar YouTubers and gear channels.

It’s a genuinely great-playing Fender too, rather than just an interesting-looking collector piece. The HSS pickup configuration gives it plenty of versatility, while the compact Jazz Bass-inspired body makes it very comfortable to play.

Condition is excellent, with the guitar having been very well looked after.
These don’t come up for sale very often, particularly in this condition.
