Fender MIJ E series contemporary strat
Up for sale is a fantastic, late 1980s Fender Made in Japan (MIJ) Contemporary/Boxer Series Stratocaster, built at the legendary Fujigen factory.
This is a premium export player's model featuring exceptional Japanese craftsmanship, a highly desirable one-piece maple neck, and a top quality Hiscox Liteflite Hard Case (https://everestmusic.com/hiscox-liteflite-standard-case-for-electric-guitar.html ).
A very similar guitar to this sold here/Donedeal in the last few weeks. I'm asking a little more for this one on the basis of the maple neck and hiscox hard case.
Key Specs:
* Model Marks: Neck heel factory stamped ST-557f / Body cavity stamped Fender 562 (100% factory original match).
* Body Wood: Solid Basswood (verified by pale wood color in the unpainted neck pocket).
* Neck: Premium one-piece maple neck and fretboard ('57 style profile).
* Fret Condition: Excellent shape. Frets have plenty of meat left, measuring a healthy ~1.1mm of crown height with zero deep valleys or severe wear.
* Bridge: Original American-made Kahler Spyder double-locking tremolo. It is 100% complete (one non-original string holder aside) and working perfectly.
* Hardware Note: The pickup and switch mounting screws have been replaced with new screws as the pickups and switch have been restored to originals.
* Case: Ships inside a genuine Hiscox Liteflite Standard hardshell case (worth over €200 new).
## Condition:
The guitar is in honest "player's condition" with typical cosmetic surface wear, minor dings, and light scratches as expected from a well-loved 1980s instrument.
I'm in Limerick but travel to Dublin/Belfast/Galway occasionally (In Dublin next Weds 26th)
