Setup professional by anything with frets .
Fender USA Jazzmaster with Rebel Relics Telecaster neck.
This guitar came to me with the neck and body assembled, but not set up. I had this work done properly afterwards. The neck is amazing, it's round and quite fat but not too big, which is cool. It's been professionally installed and set up and plays well, intonation is perfect.
The guitar is obviously modded, so I wasn't worried about carrying out more mods. The body was refinished in black nitro, which has a nice, subtle relic. Nice and light, easy to play. The guitar is a legit Jazzmaster, body, trem, etc. The interior of the guitar is copper shielded
What I've done;.
- I've got this custom pickguard made from a guy in Scotland on ebay, in Mint Green, routed for humbucker pickups. He’ll do a pickguard that fits in whatever pickup layout you want, I wanted humbuckers and mint green, cost €40 so that’s easy – can be changed back with no further work.
- I upgraded the wiring and pots to CTS 500k, cloth wiring harness, etc, suited for humbuckers.
- The bridge pickup is a Monty's GT500 humbucker and the neck is a Sunday Handwound HB sized Big Bird; it’s a vintage Firebird pickup in regular humbucker size. Great pair - Humbucker bridge tones and Fender like bright neck pickup tones, almost like a single coil, with no hum. Top of the line pickups.
- I had the neck shimmed for the trem, the nut was re-cut the neck angle in now correct, as JMs often come with a neck too straight.
