Fender Classic Series 50s Stratocaster

Circa 2002 classic series 50s strat (not to be confused with the classic player series). This is essentially the MIM version of the American Vintage 57 reissue. This series would later be renamed to the Vintera (and more recently Vintera II) series essentially keeping the same specs.

All original, 2 tone sunburst alder body, nice soft-V neck - not too thin, not too full, 7.25in radius, staggered pole piece alnico pickups. Frets are in excellent condition with no visible wear and are finished to well above the usual Fender production standard - I think the previous owner must have had them professionally dressed, as they look, feel and play better than many American fenders I've owned. Fret ends nicely rounded and polished, better than factory AVRI level of work. Nice bit of flame pattern in the maple on the back of the neck.

Good overall condition for a 20+ year guitar, some general finish wear on the body that was hard to photograph (pics at the end) - pick marks above pickguard on the front, a bit of buckle rash on the back (no backplate). Just set up with a fresh set of .010s, plays great. No case.
