CBS-Type Strat Neck
Up for sale is a 70s style CBS type Strat / 72 Deluxe Tele neck.
It's an aftermarket neck which I bought new about 14-15 years ago.
It's really spec'd out for an aftermarket no-name neck:
Headstock shape: CBS 70's Stratocaster® / 72 Deluxe Custom Telecaster® style
Neck Wood: Maple
Fretboard: Select Rosewood (rounded overhang)
Neck Shape: Modern C
Profile: Vanson Standard Thin
Skunk Stripe: Rosewood
Nut type: Bone
Fret Markers: Abalone
Microdots: White
Scale: 25.5"
Fret size: Medium Jumbo
Number of frets: 22
Heel width: 2 3/16" (56mm)
Heel Height: approx 25mm (measured from side)
Nut width: 42mm
Fingerboard Radius: 12"
Machinehead Holes: 3/8" (10mm)
Finsh: Light Satin Urethane, & Vintage Tint
Trussrod: Double-action, access via headstock
The frets have been bevelled and polished, the neck has been regularly oiled and was well looked after.
I'm also including the Gotoh vintage tuners that are installed - these were installed with conversion bushings to fit the 10mm holes.
The only flaw is the slightly larger screw that I've had to slot in between the D and G tuners to keep them properly fixed on account of a minor 1mm imperfection. It's all worked flawlessly all these years, so no cause for concern. I've also had to scrape away some of the lacquer finish to get a proper fit, but that's normal.
The only reason I'm selling it is because I prefer slightly slimmer necks - this one is Fender C in shape but it's quite chunky in the hand (with a 12 radius too), so it actually feels like a D. It's 22mm deep at the 1st fret and 24mm at the 12th.
No silly offers and no trades (unless it's a Celestion G12H-75 Creamback in 16 Ohm)
