2006 les Paul Standard

For sale is my 2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a stunning Honeyburst finish. This is from a particularly well-regarded era of Les Paul production, featuring a beautifully figured AAA flame maple top and all the weight, sustain and tone you’d expect from a proper Les Paul.

The finish has aged exceptionally well over the last 20 years. The Honeyburst has deepened into a rich amber/golden hue, with the flame figuring really coming alive in natural light. It’s a guitar that looks every bit as good as it sounds.

The guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with only light signs of use and no significant damage. Frets are in great shape and it plays beautifully all over the neck.

- Bare Knuckle humbuckers fitted (exact model unknown, installed by previous owner)
- Vintage-style tuning machines fitted
- Push/pull coil-split wiring on both tone controls for single-coil sounds
- Push/pull out-of-phase wiring on the neck pickup for additional tonal options
- Original Gibson hard case included

Tonally it’s incredibly versatile, covering everything from classic Les Paul warmth and punch through to brighter coil-split tones and unique Peter Green out-of-phase sounds. The Bare Knuckles give it a lively, articulate character with plenty of output and clarity.

A fantastic example of a mid-2000s Les Paul Standard that has matured beautifully and remains in superb condition.
