Here we have for sale a very nice example from the "Golden Era" of Japanese guitars. Built by Tokai Gakki in the early 80's for the Japanese Market only and crafted to the very high standard typical of the period. Based on the iconic classic "Hog" Les Paul Custom design it features a 2pc solid all mahogany body with a Mahogany neck, bound rosewood fretboard, block inlays, and 2 humbucking pickups.

Condition Report :
In overall good condition for its age, various nicks / dings / buckle rash etc but only minimal fretwear with tonnes of life left in the original frets.
The machine heads have been changed to locking tuners at some point, they look to have been over tightened at the time and caused some cracks in the front face plate.
Bridge Pickup has been changed from an original Gotoh made Tokai '57 PAF model pickup to a hotter Pickup also by Gotoh. The control knobs and backplate are non original as is one of the strap buttons. Missing scratchplate. The rosewood fretboard looks to have had an ebony stain applied at some point. Neck is straight and truss rod is active in both directions.
