A stunning, 100% original 2021 Rickenbacker 4003 in the rare, sleek Matte Jetglo (matte black) finish.
Purchased brand new from an authorized dealer in 2021, and it has been meticulously looked after ever since.
It has spent the vast majority of its life resting safely inside its factory case. It has barely been gigged and shows only the absolute minimal signs of light home use.
The modern matte finish looks incredible, the neck is perfectly straight, the frets have no wear, and the electronics function perfectly.
This model features the premium factory neck-through-body design, providing incredible sustain, stability, and effortless access to the upper frets.
It also includes the standard factory push-pull treble tone pot. When pushed in, you get the deep, powerful modern 4003 punch. When pulled out, it engages the vintage circuit, adding that classic, 1960s Rickenbacker growl and clarity.

There is one small cosmetic ding on the corner of the headstock. I have included a clear, close-up photo of this for full transparency. It is purely cosmetic, does not affect the wood structure or tuning stability in any way, and is barely noticeable from a distance. Aside from this minor blemish, the bass is in pristine condition.
The bass is equipped with its original dual Rickenbacker high-gain single-coil pickups, which deliver the legendary tonal profile this instrument is famous for:
Bridge Pickup: Delivers that iconic, aggressive treble punch, gritty midrange bite, and incredible clank that cuts straight through any mix. Excellent for playing with a pick or aggressive fingerstyle.
Neck Pickup: Offers a stark, beautiful contrast—providing a deep, woody, low-end warmth that is thick, smooth, and perfect for classic rock or Motown tones.
Push-Pull Vintage Circuit: The treble tone knob features a factory push-pull switch. When pushed in, the pickups output a high-output, modern punch with massive low-end. When pulled out, it engages a 1960s-style inline capacitor on the bridge pickup. This instantly drops the sub-lows to unleash the bright, biting, historic growl favored by Chris Squire and Geddy Lee.
Stereo Output Capability: Alongside the standard mono jack, it features the famous Ric-O-Sound stereo output routing. This allows you to split the neck and bridge pickups into two completely separate amplifiers or effects chains for massive tonal tracking in the studio or live.
