Fender Precision Special Bass with Maple Fretboard 1980 OHSC Lake Placid Blue

1980 Fender Precision Special Bass with OHSC. Lake Placid Blue.
Comes with original hang tags and originally-supplied Fender strap.
These basses are active featuring Volume, Treble & Bass controls and are fitted with a high-mass brass bridge, brass thumb-rest, brass neck-plate & gold tuners.
Some of these that you’ll find for sale have had the active electronics taken out but this one is totally original.
There are a few marks on the body, these are to be expected for a 46-year-old bass - see pics.
Weight, on my bathroom scale, is 4.7kg.
Nut width is 1-5/8 inches (or 41.275mm).
These were Fender's top of the line basses at the time and are very rare nowadays as they were very expensive when new.
This one has lovely low action and a great full sound. The active preamp gives it a great variety of tones.
Will ship, €25 extra, insured.
