'Wrapped Up in Blue' tells the story of one of the great sporting icons of the 20th century, Dublin's Kevin Heffernan. This documentary charts his life as a child growing up in Marino in the 1930s and the influence he and his colleagues had on the sporting and cultural development of the capital.

Through interviews with surviving team mates from the era, we are given a unique insight into the growth of the GAA in Dublin. We look back at all of Dublin's All Ireland triumphs of the '50s, '70s & '80s and the part Kevin Heffernan played in them, as well as his successful career in the ESB and The Labour Court. Our story continues with the success of Kevin Heffernan's Irish team and their victory over Australia in the International Rules Series.
