Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes star in this adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy directed by Baz Luhrmann. In Verona Beach, California, the Montague and Capulet families are embroiled in a long-running feud. When Romeo Montague (DiCaprio) attends a Capulet ball in disguise, he meets Juliet Capulet (Danes). They fall in love and vow to marry but bloodshed and tragedy threaten their future together.
